New talent, new horizons in the UK

At Wattsense, we believe that the evolution of our team is just as essential as the improvement of our products. To celebrate the return to the office, what better way than to welcome two new talents to our team ! 

Romain, our new Software Engineer, will contribute to the development of our solution, while Luke, our Account Manager, will strengthen our presence in the building management systems market in the UK.

Romain Isnel - Software Engineer 

Romain holds a degree in Bachelor's Degree in Software Development at SUP’Internet, located in Paris. This school is now part of Epitech's programs, which specialize in training technology experts.

Before joining Wattsense, he gained solid experience in application development for Android platforms.

He worked at SmArtapps, a company specializing in creating white-label mobile applications for museums and other cultural venues.

Subsequently, Romain also contributed to projects at Payxpert, a company that develops payment solutions. During this experience, he developed the card payment application for electronic payment terminals.

His role at Wattsense

Romain works as an embedded software engineer alongside the embedded and R&D teams. He contributes to the development of the Wattsense solution in an international environment.

His responsibilities include developing new features for our building management system (BMS), improving the code as well as the internal architecture, and integrating new protocols into the box to continue connecting new devices. Additionally, he collaborates with the product team to address the needs expressed by our clients.

Secret Weapon

Outside of his professional commitments, Romain enjoys cycling trips. His passion for exploring on two wheels reflects his love for adventure and discovering new cities and countries.

Additionally, Romain actively contributes to OpenStreetMap, an open-source mapping platform. He strives to keep the map up to date by recording the places he visits or knows well. Recently, he added the following countries to his map: Croatia, Spain, and Greece.

Finally, Romain is also known among his friends and family for his sense of humor, with a penchant for jokes and wordplay. Although his colleagues have yet to experience his humor, it’s certain that this will come, adding a touch of lightheartedness and camaraderie to the Wattsense team.

Luke Davies - Account Manager

Holding a degree in Electrical Engineering from Kirklees College, Luke has also completed various training courses in BMS (Building Management Systems) and sales.
He has worked in the BMS and electrical industries for over 15 years as an engineer. Following this, he took on the role of Business Development Manager (BDM) at SSE, one of the largest energy companies in the UK. His role involved delivering BMS and Smart Building solutions using IoT technologies such as the Connect Box and smart platforms.

Today, Luke is based in the UK, where he supports the growth of the British market while building lasting relationships with the existing and new partners.

His role at Wattsense

Luke Davies joins the sales team to develop new opportunities in the UK. He ensures that prospecting activities are carried out to expand the Wattsense partner network and create new opportunities with property owners, consulting firms, proptech companies in the UK, and more. To achieve this, he collaborates with the support team and his colleagues to address client projects. He highlights our BMS and its new features to demonstrate our added value to clients.

Secret Weapon

He is passionate about fitness and regularly participates in competitions across the UK and Europe. By engaging in this sport, he adopts a disciplined approach and gives his best, both in his daily role as a sales professional and in his personal life.
